So somehow during last saturday's party I invited about forty people to my place for New Years Eve.
I have never had that many people over. Ever.
I still get palpitations just thinking about it.

Oh well.. what's done is done and I hope that everybody will have a blast.

For the occasion I've mixed a couple of tunes. The mix is meant to keep things up-tempo without prohibiting conversation. Please, what do the music-fiends among you think of it?

Most terrifying isn't it?

Mix looks good!

Most terrifying indeed!
Happily, I know and love all my guests and they all know me (and like me anyway) so I think it'll be okay.

Thanks for your thoughts on the mix, C. :)

Then no worries. :)

Oh, if there is anyone like me around, when Hey Ya comes on, they'll stop being able to talk and start bouncing around, no matter how hard they try not to. Just be warned.

Heh, a bit of bouncing certainly couldn't hurt, right?

I'm wondering about Whale - Smoke though.. maybe it's a bit jarring and I could come off of Hey Ya straight into Bandages. (fuss fuss fuss...) ;)

I remember like when we first moved to this house, it was summer and we had a party like every week...my family is huge. We had over like 72 people at one point. We've like the BEST house for parties, too. A pool...huge basement, pool table & dart board(s), a big patio and backyard porch that overlooks the yard...and my brother built like this huge wood framework around the pool so we could put various glass tables and chairs for people to lounge about. We got this house like sooo cheap, too. The owner had been busted and taken to jail, so we got it cheap and it looked like a shithole til we spent several years and lots of money repairing it.

Sorry for the ramble. Bottom line is...if you want, you can fly your friends over here ;) No problem.

xoxo.

Just kidding.

Forty people? Whoa.

Hmmm... I thought about it but the lyrics are a bit of a downer, don't you think? "nothing changes NYDay... ... reasons for the wars we wage..."

Or maybe I'm making more of it than warrants...
