Dear Irena,
Do you remember that time, in your failing years, when you heard me furtively scraping away in your untended yard and you either couldn't be bothered to ask what I was up to or somehow knew that I wasn't up to no good?
Well, pretty much one year after your death and the utter abandonment of your cherished but down-trodden home I am pleased to say that the wildflowers that I sowed have run riot on your land.
I wish you could have been here to see it. It's really quite beautiful.
I miss you, dear neighbour. We all do.
