I have a certain primordial fear of animals that haven't evolved much during the past few millenia. This bug-eyed fellow however, I didn't mind meeting... in the proper environment, of course. Restaurants; good. Bayou; bad.

Thibodeaux the 'gator sneaking up on a patron. Haaieee!
Food at Bayou Brasil was good, though disappointingly they were out of both Turtle soup (at 7:30 on a Saturday night!?!) and their chocolate-pecan pie. Service was slow but that permitted us to linger and get more conversation in so it all worked out.
Desert at Rockaberry's was what it always is; delicious and guilt-inducing. And, they had pecan pie!! Yay!
Oh, and alligator does not taste like chicken. Nope.
