It's the start of it, to be sure.... unless we push back against the axis of stupid.

The really bad thing about it is it's all part of the plan to get the decision challenged in court and then get it all the way to the Supreme Court to challenge Roe v. Wade, which apparently some people have been waiting for since the confirmation of Roberts and Alito.

I feared as much; and the minute the Americans start rattling that cage our own Conservatives are likely to follow suit.

Ah... the good old days are coming back!

Progress seems so... temporary.

I suspect progress is. Oh well. Maybe we're seeing how history folds in on itself. In a few hundred years, I think Africa will be back as a very popular continent (they're overdue for that), and I guess the shifting needs to start somehow. >_>

And these are the same people who look down their noses at other countries, cultures, and customs as "uncivilized"?

Some of em, I'm sure.

Ironic as hell, isn't it?

Painfully so.

The white haired big guys "up there" have no idea what it's like to be a female...be in the prime of your life...and then be faced with an unexpected pregnancy. Yes, I do realize "the adoption" option...but meanwhile, that's also putting the girl through physical and mental stress, not to mention expenses and complications of finding a foster parent.

I'm not for having abortions done on a regular basis, but I think they should be as safe and rare as possible. And if abortion does become illegal, I still know that many girls will go to great lengths to abort...and they won't be healthy.

sigh. such a sickening topic.
